Mercedes a Fine Example of High-End German Engineering

Mercedes is a fine example of high-end German engineering. The new chassis of the luxury car ensures drive stability and ride comfort.Mercedes comes with standard specification configuration of all new four-link rear axle chassis and an integral steer control.

The seats of a Mercedes have specific seat cushion design featuring an accentuated shoulder area. They offer the driver and front passenger special comfort on long journeys. There is height adjustment and inclination adjustment for all seats.

The lumbar support in the car improves seating comfort and ergonomics. The curvature of the backrest curvature can be individually adjusted to meet the needs of the driver and front passenger. Two air cushions are integrated in the backrests of both front seats. The driver's seat and backrest are electrically adjustable using the controls in the door panel.

Mercedes is a very safe vehicle. This auto major is consistently striving to introduce new safety measures. The first important safety milestone was reached back in the 1950s with the development of the passenger safety cell. At present, the cell is just one of many components of the car maker’s integral safety concept taking it es ever closer to our vision of accident-free driving.

The adaptive brake lights in a used Mercedes warn vehicles behind by flashing rapidly in the event of sharp braking. The hazard warning lights are also activated automatically in emergency braking situations. As a result, following traffic can react more quickly and the risk of an accident can be reduced. The adaptive brake lights are activated in the event of sharp braking from speeds above 50 km/h. The hazard warning lights activate automatically when the vehicle slows from a speed of over 70 km/h to a standstill during emergency braking.

The Brake Assist technology can detect emergency braking situations based on the speed with which the brakes were applied and assists the driver by increasing the brake pressure. The system interprets a certain speed at which the pedal is applied during an emergency situation and builds up maximum braking power in a second. A sensor records the speed at which the brake pedal is depressed and transmits this data to the electronic control unit.

There are a host of safety features in a Mercedes to prevent accidents and several others which come into play in case of an accident. Assisting emergency services after an accident is an important part of the safety philosophy of Mercedes Benz. The engine can be automatically turned off, thus cutting the fuel supply. The door locking facility can be automatically released making escape easier. The emergency lights are also activated to lower the risk of accidents and make location of the car easier.

The driver and front passenger airbags help to protect the upper torso and head in a collision. The air bags are deployed if the crash sensors detect a collision from a specific direction and it exceeds a given impact severity. The automatic child seat recognition system detects child seats with a transponder from the Mercedes-Benz accessories range and automatically deactivates the front passenger airbag.
